Donatable Items Per Committee

Understanding which items are eligible for donation is crucial for maximizing the impact of your contributions. Each committee has specific guidelines outlining the types of items they accept. It’s essential to check these guidelines to ensure your donations are useful and appreciated. Generally, items are categorized into several groups such as clothing, household goods, food, and hygiene products. For clothing, gently used items like jackets, shoes, and accessories are typically welcomed. Household goods can include kitchen appliances, small furniture, and bedding that are still in good condition. Non-perishable food items are highly valued by food banks, while hygiene products such as soap, toothpaste, and sanitary supplies can support those in need significantly. Always remember to verify with the committee for their specific needs and restrictions. Together, we can make a difference, one donation at a time!

Donations can be dropped off on the 3rd Tuesday of every month between 6:30 pm & 8:30 pm at the Pfieffer Center 302 Blue Bell Rd., Williamstown NJ For more information or if you would  like to make a monetary donation please email us.

Advocates for Children

We are looking for homemade blankets for the Linus Project.  These blankets provide love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need through the gifts of new handmade blankets and Afghans, lovingly created by volunteer “blanketeers.”

Under our Embrella partnership we will be looking for items to provide when a child faces crisis situations like removal from an unsafe home, entry into foster care, or seeking refuge in homeless or domestic violence shelters. These bags offer immediate support during highly sensitive and vulnerable moments.

For more information on these projects, you can contact Patty Lamplugh Chairwoman for the Advocacy for Children at pattylamp@gmail.com

Community Impact Program

Finn's Friends dream of an All-Inclusive Park is no longer just a dream — it is becoming a reality. At the groundbreaking ceremony, no one could have imagined that Stage 1 would already be nearing completion.

Although grants have helped move this amazing project forward, Stage 2 will require additional funding, as well as continued support for the future upkeep of the park. The Monroe Township Woman's Club remains committed to supporting this important community project that will become a premier destination for children and families of all abilities.

We have proudly assisted with fundraising efforts and are currently helping sell commemorative bricks that will be installed at the entrance of the park. Monetary donations are also being accepted to help continue this meaningful work.

Registration has begun for the Golf Outing on September 28th. More information is available in a link below.

If you are a business owner interested in becoming a sponsor for one of our upcoming events, please contact Michelle Carbonara, Chairwoman for Community Impact, at mcarbonara2013@gmail.com

Domestic & Sexual Violence Prevention

The "You Are NOT Alone project" was created to provide compassionate, tangible support to rape victims.  While medical care address critical physical needs, survivors often leave the exam without basic personal items.  Our goal is to bridge the gap with dignity, care and reassurance.  At present we are currently low on the following items:

Plain Legging/Sweatpants (Medium or Large)

Plain T-Shirts, Long sleeve shirts, short sleeve shirts (no graphics please)

Socks

*New items only

For information on where to bring donations please contact Leona Farmer Chairwoman for Domestic & Sexual Violence at mizticangl@aol.com

Education & Libraries

Education & Libraries is always collecting new or gently used books to donate.  We do have some special request for the holiday season of new children's books, coloring books and activity books to be given out as gifts from Santa on Pictures with Santa Day.  Donations can be dropped off at the Pfeiffer Center; we meet the third Tuesday of each month with the exception of July & August from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm

We will also be looking for building supplies to build a Tiny Library at the new All-Inclusive Park in Williamstown.

For more information regarding donations please contact Jeannie Servais, Chairwoman for Education & Libraries at Jeannie.servais@gmail.com

Environment

The Environment Committee is very committed to recycling; they also have interest in supporting local animal shelters and collecting tabs for Ronald McDonald's House.

A new project they started is Got Sneakers, where they are collecting sneakers that would normally wind up in landfills.  The sneakers dependent upon condition are sent to domestic or global secondhand markets or used to make reuseable materials such as countertops, shoelaces and new footwear.

The Committee is also very involved with TerraCycle, a recycling program that recycles hard to recycle trash. These items are then transformed into such things as jewelry, planters, tote bags and so much more.  Currently, we are collecting used razors and toothpaste tubes.

The committee is currently organizing drop locations for the donatable items. For more information on the Environment Committee contact Andrea Alibrando Chairwoman at andrea.alibrando@yahoo.com

Civic Engagement & Outreach

In September we will be collecting donations for Operation Holiday Stockings.

For more than a decade the NJSFWC clubs have prepared and sent holiday stockings for troops serving our nation overseas. Our stockings are shared with a special organization that ships them overseas to our military. "Operation Jersey Cares" is comprised of Veterans and Proud Americans, devoted to our service men and women.
